Significance And Meaning Of Colors In Life
BlueBlue is by far the popular “favorite color” choice sharing equal appeal among both women and men alike. Blue is a color that denotes dependability, trustworthiness, wisdom, confidence, faith, intelligence, heaven and commitment. Like the sky and ocean, it is seen as a constant offering depth and stability. Blue has also been found to have a calming effect, aids intuition, slows metabolism, and is beneficial to the body and mind. It also symbolizes sincerity and piety.Different hues of blue hold different meanings. For example, dark blue is associated with stability, expertise, knowledge, seriousness, integrity, power. Light blue, on the other hand, is known for promoting softness, healing, tranquility, health, and understanding. Furthermore, some shades of blue are dramatic and dynamic like electric blue which evokes a feeling of exhilaration.
BrownBrown is the color preferred by people who tend to be orderly and conventional. It is the color of the earth and is often associated with organic and natural things. It is a combination of yellow, blue (both colors add mental concentration energy), and red (adds practical energy). Brown represents approachability, reliability, stability, wholesomeness and gives off the feeling of solidity allowing a person to go unnoticed. If you want to attract reliable, wholesome people and things into your life, be sure to add some brown in your life everyday. OrangeThis color more than any other color evokes a love or hate it response. It combines yellow (happiness) and red (energy). It radiates energy, joy, encouragement, creativity, success, stimulation, fascination, determination, warmth, sunshine, attraction, health, fun, strength, endurance and flamboyance. Orange also stimulates the appetite, activity, increase of oxygen to the brain and promotes socializing. Because orange is a hot eye catching color it is perfect if you want to promote toys and food. McDonald’s uses both yellow and red as their colors of choice because together, they make orange (stimulating your appetite).Different shades of orange can mean different things. For example, the not so nice side of dark orange can mean distrust and deceit. Red-orange evokes passion, domination, aggression, and pleasure. WhiteWhite represents neutrality, cleanliness, purity, goodness, light, innocence, and virginity. It is also seen as the “color of perfection” evoking feelings of safety. It allows fresh successful beginnings, aids in purifying actions and thoughts, mental focus, and clearing obstacles or clutter. This is another great color to use for high-tech product promotion and is often used with doctors (sterile), bride gowns (successful new, pure beginnings) and a safe home (with a white picket fence). It also a smart color to use with low fat food and dairy products. PurplePurple is a combination of blue (serenity) and red (energy). It is a color that has been associated with royalty and mysticism. It has also been known to represent independence, wisdom, magic and dignity. Purple has a calming effect on the mind, offers an uplifting, spiritual feeling and promotes creativity. In nature, purple is very rare and, as a result, is sometimes considered an artificial color. GreenGreen symbolizes freshness, growthfertility and harmony. It is the color of nature and promotes a feeling of safety, healing power, hope, endurance and stability. Green also helps in relaxation, alleviating anxiety and depression, and creates a sense of harmony, renewal and self control. Of all the colors, it is the most restful color to the eye and can even help improve one’s vision. RedRed has the ability to immediately draw attention, which is why it is used for fire equipment, stop signs, etc. It is a stimulant and has more personal and emotional connotations than any other color. It is associated with strength, power, war, passion, love, determination and desire. It increases metabolism, blood pressure, energy and enthusiasm, creates a feeling of protection from anxiety and fear, and promotes confidence and action. GreyThis is the universal favorite suit color typically mixing well with all other colors. It is practical, timeless and solid. However, while it is a favored suit color, it is often not named as a favorite color. Why? Probably because gray is also associated with depression or loss feelings that most people steer clear from. Maybe at work we’re trying to convey a serious, no-nonsense affect? BlackPowerful and authoritative, too much black can sometimes be overwhelming. It is a timeless, classic color because it conveys sophistication and makes a person appear thinner in clothing. YellowYellow is a color that creates happiness, optimism, intellect, joy, enlightenment, with the promise of a positive future. It sparks creative thoughts, instills energy, evokes honor and loyalty. It encourages communication, stimulates the mind, nervous system and memory. AUTHOR:
